[SOLVED] Dead Keyboard

I have Vista OS;while using PC in the middle of the sentence,all of a sudden,keyboard went dead;mouse working,everything else seems functioning OK but the keyboard;I tried reboot;I tried system restore;
To no avail.
Does anybody knows what's going on?I found one posting on this forum
with similar problem,but in that case both keyboard & mouse went dead.
Please,anybody,HELP!!!

Keyboards can and do fail and there is nothing that says they can not fail mid-sentence. Have you tried that keyboard with any other computer to make sure the keyboard really has not failed?

the answer to the first response;I cannot open in safe mode because I cannot press F8
the answer to the second response;I didn't try,but I'll do it right away

double check that your bios has pnp and usb enabled.

The solution was simple(what a dummy I was not checking with another PC);
I bought new keyboard and everything is nice and dandy.
