spontaneously rebooting without warning?

my computer just reboots it seems whenever,

i have just reformatted it and put xp on it. every time i try and run cubase it does it without fail. and sometimes even when im just surfing it does it.

if there a way i can fix this? as im really having trouble with this pc irhgt now and i just want a simple pc with xp clean.

really hope you guys can help as you usually do.

just to pdate, the computer cant recognize the ethernet port on the motherboard.

nothing ever shows up in device manager.

so im think this or something to do with it is causing a hardware malfunction and then causing the computer to reboot offen.

anyway i really hope i can get some advice on this problem.

yes, (i apologise for not stating this in the first post)

ECS geforce 6100m AM2

windows xp proff sp2 (upgrading to sp3 didn't stop the problem either)

another update.

i took out a pci card i recently put in and it seemed to work, until later that night whjen i started downloading and then watching videos and youtube and it blue screened again, but this time is gave a different message.

driver IRQL not less or equal

can anyone tell me what wrong?
