Want a new headset
I have a few questions about headsets. What are the benefits of 5.1 headsets when compared to any other decent headset with good sound quality? What's a step below 5.1?
I mainly want my headset to sound great when I play my games and listen to music. Someone told me that the only thing 5.1 is for is to hear where the sounds come from in games, and not to improve how sounds and music actually sound.. is that true? |

Re: Want a new headset
Bryan332211,
The 5.1 headsets will, if the game/movie support it, output a front left/right, rear left/right, and bass just as a 5.1 home theater does. It will really put you in the movie or game. A step down from this I believe is a 2.1. Front left/right and bass. Hope that helps. |
