Hoping someone can help me here!
My daughter has an Acer Aspire 7520 Gemstone 17" laptop Its seems to have been plagued with a display problem for some time, I've even completely formatted it and done a clean install of vista. After using it for about half an hour to an hour the display goes to a coloured screen (the colour varies) and has horizontal wavy lines across the screen. If I am on the net I know its not crashed as I can still hear stuff happening if for example I was on Youtube. The only way to get out of it is to shut down and then restart the laptop. I've had a software technician look at it and also had it in a workshop where the display was fine! Yet it happens to me nearly everytime I use it or my daughter uses it. Also can anyone advise if Driver Detective is worth the $30? I used it to scan and it told me I was missing some drivers especially US Bus and Coprocessor or has anyone got these cos I can't find them anywhere online? Hope someone can help as I'm pulling my hair out now lol

Re: Acer Aspire 7520 display error
forget driver detective
download and save your video driver from the acer site then in the device manager uninstall the video card reboot tapping f8 and choose low resolution mode when windows finishes rebooting disable a/virus install your drivers reboot the computer see if this fixes it
