32" lcd hdtv as monitor?

Hi, ive got a question about replacing my old old monitor with a new 32" lcd hdtv as a monitor. I recently built my own rig, its currently using a palit geforce 8800gt, has 2 dvi, 1 hdmi port and a tv out port.

Im bascially wondering how well it would look on screen. would there be stretching and such? Thanks

Re: 32" lcd hdtv as monitor?

it just takes some getting used to the shorter screen
check what connection to use on the hdtv
on mine a computer can only be connected through a vga port on the tv
the picture is great

Re: 32" lcd hdtv as monitor?

wow that was fast dai, but wat did you mean getting used to on the "shorter screen"?

the tv has 2 hdmi port, no dvi :(, and 1 pc-vga port, 1 s-video and 1 pc-audio port, takes component too. This is the model number for the tv aswell, KDL32L4000

Thanks :D

Re: 32" lcd hdtv as monitor?

with it being wide at first it gives the impression of not being deep enough and it takes getting used to

mine will only get a screen through the pc-vga port you will need to check the manual for it,it is usually available on the makers site
a few on here use 42 inch plasma screens
