Two Power supplies blown on different machines

two computer has had two power supply blow outs in 5 weeks i know not to open the power supplies that would be stupid but i need to know of anything im doing wrong to make the power supply blow out the computer is underneath the desk used regulary but thats what computers are for

please reply telling me the your ideas Thanks in advance

both new and its an acer aspire not got the actual model as im a support tech for them but still need to replace them it has a amd sempron 2800+ intel q35 chipset\ intel graphics 60GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM i believe

It might be that you are expecting a weaker power supply tp put out more than it can handle. There are some real dogs out there even from some major companies.

We might have a better idea of the issue (no promises) if we knew the specs of the computer and then the make and model of the PSU you were trying to run.
