DVI/VGA to USB for extended desktops...
So apparently at work, I'm not allowed to install a dual-output graphics card on the computer, because it'll void the warranty. Okay. So apparently, I can get one of these DVI/VGA to USB adapters to add a 2nd monitor. I'm just wondering, since hardly any of these have reviews anywhere I've seen...how are they? I gather that if you're watching video it can be choppy, but I won't be watching video. Mostly static images, or chat programs...general computing stuff, while the main activities would be done on the main screen...
anyone know of a good device for this setup? Or something else I'm not thinking of? And can I get some opinions on how these work? Thanks! |

Re: DVI/VGA to USB for extended desktops...
I have used this product and not had any trouble, never tried running motion video through it so I can't testify to that but still images for things like Word, Excel, PowerPoint were fine.
