Quickbooks Pro 2008 - Need Help!!!

I need to know how to take everything that is on my quickbooks, and i mean everything and burn it onto a cd. I am currently in the process of closing one business and opening another. I need to keep all of my old data for auditing purposes, but i need to run my new business out of quickbooks. So in a nut shell i want to burn all of whats in quickbooks now and then delete it out of the computer so i can start imputting the new company info qith out having to buy whole new quickbooks program. Anyone who can help, I'd appreciate it!Thanks!

I'm new to this site, and unfortunately, I do not have an answer to your question. However, I'm having an issue in QB Pro 2008 regarding updates & auto backups. When I searched for this software, your entry was first on the list, so I thought I'd take a stab and see if you're able to direct me to an answer. Messages: "Error at backup. QB encountered a problem attempting to backup; drive specified could not be accessed. Plz refer to the QB Backup log file for more details". Another message: "QB failed to update all files because some of these files are being used by QB & its related components. Plz restart & run "postpatch.bat in QB applications directory""
I've tried these things, but nothing seems to work. Have you run into any of these messages in your "journeys"? Or, do you know of anyone else that may be able to help?
