problem with lifecam vx 1000
I recently bought a Microsoft Lifecam VX 1000. I'm using Windows XP. 2GB RAM, Service Pack 3, Pentium 4. The installation worked out well, with the driver working fine (I think). The Device Manager states the USB Port and the device are both functioning properly, with the device enabled.
The problem is this: For live streaming video, I have no image (just a black screen) and the sound is somewhat distorted and scratchy. The camera does seem to record, but nothing shows up in recording. I've tried everything in the troubleshooting files and nothing seems to work. I'm somewhat of a newbie to computers in general, and would be grateful for any help in anything I may be missing. Thank you in advance. |
