I have read the previous thread regarding this issue, yet was unable to solve my problem.
My computer worked fine for about 20 months using my PROSet Wireless Adapter ... Now here's what's happening. When I try to use my wireless, I get the message "Failed to update profile list. Profile database in use" When I click "OK" my PROSet wireless "list" opens up with nothing on it, and at the top it says, "Another wireless network utility is communicating with the Intel PROSet Wireless Adapter. To avoid conflicts, Intel profile management features have been temporarily disabled." When I click "Enable Intel PROset Wireless" all the wireless connections come up, however, I am required to reenter the encryption keys. No big deal, right? When I enter the key, I have to set up a new profile, then I get another error message saying that it is unable to process my request at this time. Okay, so, I've looked at the previous threads and tried to have windows manage my wireless ... I don't have that option in my advanced connections I'm about to throw my computer out the window!

Re: Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless
Have you tried going to www.intel.com and installing the latest driver?
