Monitor does not turn on??????
My computer is only 2.5 years old and hardly gets used. It really has been used as a picture frame (my screen saver is a slideshow of a bunch of family pictures) but is on all the time. Don't know if it matters but there have been some storms that knocked out power but the computer is plugged into a surge protector. One day the monitor went off. Now it won't turn on. I get nothing when I hit the power button. I don;t even get a flashing light. The wierd thing is, the rest of the computer works. It boots up and the speakers work, I just can not turn on the monitor. I have unhooked and unpluged everything and left it sit for awhile, then hooked it all back up and plugged the monitor into a the outlet itself and still nothing. I haven't tried anything else though.
What could be the problem? Any suggestions or answers? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Monitor does not turn on??????
surge protector are good but it will not protect you from static/surges caused by lightning.
try another monitor or try the monitor on another computer. This will determine if its a monitor problem or something else.
