Logitech Quickcam Messenger

Hi Y'all, I own a logitech quickcam messenger, and for some reason the if I click on quick capture to see me, in the resolution of 320x240 or above the image just freezes, the camera has three possible resolutions, 160x120, 320x240 and 640x480. I tried all USB ports in the computer, installing different driver versions including the latest one, but nothing resolves the issue, I even had the camera changed to no avail
my specs are
P4P800 E-DELUXE
P4 3.0EGHz
1GIG RAM KINGSTON
WD 160 CAVIAR SE
ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128 megs
ANTEC True Power 430W

Anybody has any ideas?
