[SOLVED] Playback from an 8mm tape Camcorder

I am capturing video clips from an 8mm Samsung Camcorder (with no direct PC connection). All is well but I would like to remove the "tape timer display" from the top right of the display. This transfers to my avi file. Any ideas gratefully received

Hi, welcome to TSF

How are you connecting the camcorder to the computer?

What video capture software are you using?

There should be an option in the camera's settings to disable the onscreen display during playback.
