AVerMedia AverTv Nano Express Card - - Huh?
At the risk of showing off my ignorance of most things technical - - how do you make it work? It came with a Dell Inspiron 1721, just purchased. It goes in a slot and a little cable hooks to it. There's a little antenna - - where does that go? There's something that says "IR1" and "IR2" with it.
Does it have to be hooked to a TV that you're obviously in the room with if you're going to hook it to it - - if so, why not just watch the TV? When I plugged it in, experimenting (quite obviously having no idea what I was doing), I had clicked Windows Media (which I never heard of, much less USED before) and went through the setup. There are some TV channels in a guide in Windows Media, but nothing will play. It says there's no TV signal - - yet the setup part said there was a TV signal. Where that signal might have been coming from, I have no idea. There's a "Quick Start Guide" - - but it shows the parts that come with it and very little more - - oh, it does diagram the remote control. I have Directv, but all those channels aren't in the 17 channels in Windows Media. Feeling very stupid - - HELP! Sharon Last edited by MisplacedKYGirl; 09-11-2008 at 03:05 AM. |
