Re: upgraded computer wont work...

That psu is a piece of junk. What did it cost you $20.00. If you
havent killed the machine already I would try a quality psu before
going any further.

Hello ,

just a thought but did you use the right amount of thermal past / gel / grease

did any of the pin get bent when installing the cpu

is the heat sink tight enough

did the cpu set into the socket compleatly

did you make sure that all power cables snaped in to place

did you use the red gaskets when mouning the mobo

did the ram seat all the way

just thougts to think of

Mike

Re: upgraded computer wont work...

That video card requires over 275watts, probably a minimum of 350.
Your still cutting it to close in my opinion on power, you need at
least 26amps on the 12volt rails/rail for a pci-e card. That psu has
a effieciency rating of %70. Do the math.
I would yank the video card out, and try to use onboard, free up
some power. Have you tried running the board outside of the case.
This will clear up the possibility of grounding. Is all power connectors
connected. Try pulling the ram out completely, if you get no beeps
that is a pretty good sign the board is toast.
