help with biquad antenna
wasn't sure where to post this so please move this to the correct section if needed.
ok, so i plan on building a biquad dish antenna so i can connect my laptop to my home when over at my mom's house. i was going to follow this guide, the only problem was i don't have a pcmcia slot on my laptop. because i don't have a pcmcia slot i am going to use an alfa AWUS036H. the part that i need help with is connecting everything together. here is what i'm assuming it's supposed to be like: wireless adapter > RP-SMA male to N male pigtail >WBC 400 coax cable > N connector. the part i'm really unsure of is whether or not there is supposed to be a pigtail between the coax and the N connector. any and all help is appreciated. |

Re: help with biquad antenna
Hello & welcome To TSF
what it appears to me you will need to find a unit that will accept the wire from your biquad dish as in the cable that will plug into the wireless router to replace the antenna you may need to go to a place to find a wireless unit that will accept that type of cable or find an adapter to replace the connector that will connect to the router then cut the cable from your biquad dish & attach the new connector so that it will connect to the wireless unit as you can see in this picture that this type of signal booster has 3 types of connectore that come with it to adapt to the 3 differnt types of routers that avalible these days http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...2755&CatId=374 Mike
