Older wintv tuner in media center

I have a wintv 878 and I want to use it in media center. When I try to setup the tv signal in media center it always says tuner not found. Please help!

Hello & welcome to TSF,

are you sure that you have the most up to date drivers for wintv & for windows ?

if your drivers & software are not uptodate this will cause a conflict both the device & system as in the tv & your computer for they will not be able to sync

also how old is the wintv ?

you may need to run it under compadability mode

i would need to have more info so i can diagnos it more clearly

Hello sega ,

have you tried useing compadability mode ?

you may need to run it under Windows 2000 or windows NT4.0 service pk 5

aslo you may need to update (direct X)
