Error Beep At Startup HELP!!
So my computer was fine yesterday when I replaced the ram/motherboard/harddrive/dvd drive, but I just replaced the graphics card (evga 7800GTX) with a new evga 9800GTX which requires 4 power inputs (old one required one? idk why) And now I get this horid beep sound when I turn it on. It doesn't have any error messages on the screen, although I've shut it off before it actually boots from the hdd. It's a long constant EHHHHHHHHH noise and it worked fine yesterday as well. I plugged it into my brother's power cable and monitor and it booted up and I used it for like 2 hours. I brought it into my room this morning and it keeps making this horid noise. Could it be my wall socket doesn't have enough power for it now? I've tried plugging it into just a batterybackup - wall but I haven't tried computer-wall directly. What should I do? I can't imagine any parts not working correctly as they are basically new. I really hope it's not the motherboard because I can't return it
Thoughts?? Sorry for rambling |

Re: Error Beep At Startup HELP!!
If you have a battery backup in between it, try plugging in without it as those CAN fail (my friend's did, causing a really weird thing to happen with his where lights would turn on but it wouldn't start up for like 10 minute, unless you turned off the monitor). But let me get this straight, it works with a separate monitor and power cable in a separate location, but not your room?
