Frustrated on USB ports!!! some1 must help plz
Hello guys,
Basically the problem happend on my laptop and my now on my desktop. ![]() The usb port with some device plugged in would suddnely stop working unless a restart of the system. So it seems to happen randomly, but on my leptop, this problem only happens when the usb port is under heavy load, such as when mini-HD is doing file transfer or the wireless usb adaptor is working hard when downloading a movie. For example, when I connect the cellphone to the computer and I'm transfering files between them, suddenly the transfer stopped but the cellphone is still charging, and system prompts the connection lost. Sometimes the mouse will go off too, the lil red led goes off like no power. So I unplug the mouse or mini-HD or wireless adaptor from this usb hub and plug it to another usb hub, it will work fine, but its a matter of time, cant expect when this one will go off again, eventually all the usb hubs will stop working untill I restart the system. My desktop and laptop are all using XP sp2 and all patches r up to date. Also their all free of viruses n sh**. I set the power management not to turn the usb hub off to save power too. Its stilll happening, someone help! |
