ps2 adpater help!

hello, i have a logitech optical wheel mouse that I am trying to run through a usb -> ps2 adapter and it won't work, does anyone have any ideas? thanks

I've done that with my logitech a few times with no problems. You DID shutdown first before changing it didn't you? PS/2 is not hot swappable like USB.

yes, i turned it off 1st. no luck fixing it yet. tried it on a different computer with same results.
