Webcam wont work with Vista?
I bought two webcams recently, a philips webcam spc110nc
and a microsoft lifecam vx-1000 Both of which wont work. The philips did not come with a cd but it works on my laptop which is using XP, (both of these products say they work for vista). The microsoft one does come with a cd which i am supposed to install first, which i do. So when I install it and plug the cam up, i go through some "next next finish" set ups. and half of the time it will freeze when i'm on the last one. If it doesn't freeze and I hit finish, when I open up the lifecam exe all I get are two things, "Connecting.....Initialization error" or I will just get a Blank white screen where I should see what my cam does. System specs Windows vista 64bit 4gigs of ram Geforce 8800 512mb Quad core q6600 2.4ghz If anyone can help me eventually fix this problem I'lllll love you forever!!!! Thanks in advance! |

Re: Webcam wont work with Vista?
normally you do not plug in the webcam until the sofware tells you to. just put the microsoft cd into the drive and it should start the setup automaticallly
as far as the philips one, its supposed to be plug and play. see the following - at the bottom of the page is the manual. http://www.consumer.philips.com/cons...am+SPC110NC-27
