[SOLVED] unabel to use two USB ports simultaneously
Hi,
hoping someone can help, my searching for answers seems to have been futile. I'm trying to transfer some files from one external hard drive to another. Trouble is every time I try to connect the second hard drive i get a popup saying the USB device is not recognised. It doesn't matter in what order I do it, the 1st HDD is recognised but the 2nd isn't. Is there anything I can do to get to the bottom of this freaky behaviour and fix it? SPECS: Board: Intel Corporation D845GRG AAA84534-301 Bus Clock: 133 megahertz BIOS: Intel Corp. RG84510A.86A.0033.P17.0307141128 07/14/2003 1GB RAM 2.40 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 8 kilobyte primary memory cache 512 kilobyte secondary memory cache USB Root Hub (4x) 2.0 Hi-speed Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600) I'm not sure what else you might need. Feel free to ask for further details. Thanks for any help you can give me. |

Re: unabel to use two USB ports simultaneously
Since there has been no answer for so long and it's probably simply down to the PSU's wattage on the XP box, I'm closing this thread as Solved.
I've taken to using a NAS for all my file transfering. |
