Using Multiple Surge Protectors

I have quite a few electronics hooked up in one room of my home. In order to provide the best protection for my electronics I decided to use two surge protectors connected to each other, since I only have one free outlet. I am wondering if this is a redundant setup, or if it actually does provide extra protection? I am not sure if the two surge protectors will interfere with each other or in what order I should connect them (one is a very expensive surge protector the other is a low end brand). The electronics include a plasma television, PC, Xbox 360 and several other expensive pieces of equipment. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend that you use only one per plug and not piggy back them. Use the expensive one and don't bother with the cheaper one.

If nothing else you may be overloading the one plug and cause the house wiring to overheat. That's not good.
