Disk is not formatted

Hello. I currently have a problem where the a:\ drive won't read a floppy disk I was using earlier today. I tried the drive with another floppy and it seems to be working. Is there any way that I can recover the information on it? It says that the disk is not formatted and gives me the option to format it now. Help someone please!

Hi,

This might be tough to do. What I would do is go to a friends computer and see if it reads the disk. Also, make sure you have not put the little tab in the corner part way into the locked position so it can not work properly. That is where I would start with it. That little tab keeps you from erasing or writing to the disk, but what can you lose by moving it to see if it is someplace between locked and unlocked?
