Monitor.......not receiving info.
So my computer has been running fine for the past......year or so. I woke up this morning, turned it on, computer started up fine, all 4 red lights of my mobo counted down, the usual....but my monitor just did nothing, other than the blue banner which always flashes for a couple seconds saying "no input received" or something along those lines. My keyboard and mouse both light up, no sounds, nothing. I've already tried unplugging, replugging, reseating the memory, and unplugging any excess inputs.....I'm 99% sure its not my psu, i bought a new one like a year ago......antec trio 650....and my mobo is fairly new as well. I really don't know whats up.....

Re: Monitor.......not receiving info.
Have you tried reseating the video card? Remove the card clean the contacts with a clean eraser blow out the slots with a can of compressed air.
Do you have another video card to test with? |

Re: Monitor.......not receiving info.
I do not have another video card at the moment, and I have tried the video card cleaning...odd thing is was that about two tries after asking my question (above) i turned on my computer and it worked....next time it didnt. I've been struggling since. I'm considering just replacing everything...I just wanted it to hold a little bit longer. It's pretty bizzare that everything turns on as normal but the monitor doesnt..... When i remove the cord from my monitor to the pc...it recognizes it...hmmm

Re: Monitor.......not receiving info.
I have tried using the second output........no response UNTIL i just kept reseating the vid card.........idk it worked again randomly. I have a feeling that its gotta either be connections in the mobo or that the cord to the monitor is flawed,
