Monitor for NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti4200

I have a Gateway computer, XP SP2, NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti4200. The monitor that came with this computer is a FPD1830 and the inverter? or capacitors? have bit the dust. I have to warm up my monitor with a hair drier and turn monitor on and off repeatedly to get it to finally operate.

I would like to replace this monitor but to not know what brands and models will be compatible with the NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti4200.

Please make some recommendations.

Hi, welcome to TSF

You can use any LCD or VGA monitor with the GeForce4 Ti4200, it has connectors for both, so you could have 2 if you wanted. What size and what's your price limit?

Re: Monitor for NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti4200

koala, thanks for the reply. My screen is 18" LCD. I really do not know my price range yet. I have a tendency to pay too and I do not know that that trait is going to abate anytime soon.

All 3 are mid-range, not too expensive. I haven't included any widescreen ones yet.

Connectors: 1 D-Sub(VGA) and 1 DVI-D

Re: Monitor for NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti4200

koala, yes, too... Whenever I pay too little I regret it. Ditto for paying too much.
Thanks for the links to the monitors. I am checking them out as we speak.
$275 is a whole lot less than I was anticipating.

Re: Monitor for NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti4200

If you want to spend more, you could go for a 21" or higher, or a widescreen. The Samsung is an excellent monitor for the price. How about 2 of them?
