Hi all and thanks in advance for any advise offered here. I've done a search on the forum and can't find a similar problem so i've started a new thread.
Yesterday, i connected my Samsung USB 4gb Memory stick to an old laptop running windows ME to read some ebooks in bed. Not realising how ridiculously slow old laptops have become in the modern world i waited, and waited, and waited for it to tell me a newer version of Windows was needed to install Adobe Reader 9. With all haste, i pulled the stick from the port only to be lectured by the lap top on the correct method of safely removing hardware... Upon downloading adobe 5 onto my PC i found i was unable to locate the memory stick in my computer to transfer the setup file to. However, having checked device manager, the stick is there and is functioning correctly. I just can't locate it anywhere to do anything with it. As the same problem arises on my PC, my Dad's PC and the laptop i'm assuming the problem is with the stick itself. I've uninstalled and reinstalled to no effect as well as trying to update drivers to no avail. Any thoughts? It's there, it's just not
