semi-pro audio recording... sort of
ok. so. i just set up a new audio recording sytem at my church to record the sermons or w/e. im running from a mackie soundboard, to sony soundforge (on an XP) via an 1/4" to RCA adapter, RCA cable (3plug, one for a/o one for a/i), then RCA to 1/8" (standard jack) adapter, and into the line in on the computer.
my problem is, is that there is a really bad buzz on the recordings, to the point were i cant use a noise gate because it cuts part of the audio. im thinking of trying to use a shielded cable or something but i need some other ideas first. i have tried using a grounded DI box but that just increased the buzz. i have also noted that the old style TVs interfer with the audio rec levels. |
