my new oxygen 49 midi controller wont save presets

if anyone can help me it would be really appreciated ,I bought this controller new a few weeks ago i am really considering sending it back for a refund .(but then again i think theres something im doing wrong) I called tech support during the week was on hold for an hour had to hang up so im hoping someone hear could help me out.

this is what is happening i hit the advanced button then control assign then i find the cc # then hit enter ,then i hit advanced then store then enter everything works fine then after i shut down for a while maybe the next day or if i go to another preset lcoation everything is lost.

i just would like to be able to store presets in memory so they stay there for good until i change them. any ideas would be appreciated thanks.
