[SOLVED] Logitech webcam video won't work. audio does
i have a logitech stx communicate webcam. when plugged in, it says that it detects a foreign USB device and it cannot recognize it. the audio does work however, when it is used.
i had a much older logitech quickcam, but that stopped working too, so when i got the new one, i realized it might be something i did wrong with the computer. any suggestions? |

Re: Logitech webcam video won't work. audio does
Hi, are those the exact words that you receive? "A foreign USB Device"?
I've never heard of that error before. Did you uninstall your old webcam, and logitech software properly from Add/Remove Programs, and restart your computer before installing your new one? If not, uninstall all webcam software and drivers from Add/Remove Programs. Restart your pc and have a look in Device Manager to make sure there are no webcam entries or yellow warnings or exclamation/question marks. Delete any folders that your webcam software has left on your C:Drive; on the main drive and in Program Files. Restart again and reinstall your new webcam.
