Scanner 'bad' in XP; okay in 98
Epson Perfection 3170 worked in XP --put new power supply in. Scanned one picture okay. Tried OCR. Hasn't worked since.
Uninstalled software; reinstalled. No help. On connecting USB cord get an OKAY new hardware found box. Then get RPC-communication with ScanManager terminated abnormally message. ((Installed software on W98 machine--scanner works fine)) Any ideas on getting XP to work with scanner? |
