Hot Laptop!
My Laptop heats up fairly quickly on where my left hand is when typing. Other than buying a lapfan, to go underneath, is there any additional software i can use to bring down my system resources and thus not make my fan go into overdrive all the time?

Re: Hot Laptop!
Hi,
sadly, heat is to be expected on latops. They have no room for decent fans. If you don't like the idea of a laptop cooler, you can check in your BIOS to ensure the processor is using Intel's Speedstep Technology or AMD's PowerNow Technology. You could also disable all Windows Services you don't use or need, and any non-windows programs and services that are running in the background. Each time you add a program to windows, they more than not put an entry in the Registry for StartUp. Most of these are updaters etc. To disable them; click on Start>Run and type msconfig in the box that appears. and click ok. In the window that now appears select the StartUp tab and disable what you don't need.
