Best keyboard
Well, I'm looking for a keyboard that will suit me; or rather, I'm looking for your opinions on which keyboard to buy. My current keyboard's spacebar has crapped out on me, so I'm looking to replace it.
Uses: Typing (mainly) Gaming (moderate) Errr... Multimedia/Macros would be a nice feature Preference: Mechanical/Tactile switches Blank Keys (no printing on keys) so I can use QWERTY and Dvorak Other good/fun options: Backlighting Thanks in advance Edit: BTW Here are some I've been looking into... Model M (All used) Unicomp Customizer 101/104 (A bit pricy) Das Keyboard (Can't find the II's anymore, and their III's are not set to come out till early August -_-) Happy Hacking (too bad they don't sell the original or pro versions anymore) Deck Keyboard (way too pricey) So, I'm just looking for some opinions; none of the ones I've listed are "perfect" for me, but I'm just giving examples of what I like. Edit2: Before I forget, how do you guys exceed the upper typing rates. I'm currently around 120 wpm, but I want to get to around 140 or 150, which is why I'm starting to learn Dvorak. However, my dvorak typing speed after a day is around 15-20 :( Not quite there yet, but hopefully it'll come along. ![]() Last edited by XTTX : 06-16-2008 at 12:41 AM. |
