Computer without air condition...
It's summertime and I love the heat. With that said I would prefer not to use an air condition.
Now I know computers (I use a desktop) can't be in such heat so do I NEED to have an air condition? Or should I buy fans to put into the computer? If I can get fans, how much are they and how do I put them in the tower? Thanks :) |

Re: Computer without air condition...
I live in the tropics and i dun put my computer (desktop or laptop) in an aircond room. Just make sure there is plenty of air circulation around the PC and the back of it (where the hot air comes out) is not restricted.

Re: Computer without air condition...
You only need to add fans if your computer seems to be overheating.
I would suggest you download and run SensorviewPro and see what temps it says you have. You can monitor temps when you first turn the computer on and while it is under-stress. Report back and we will see what the temps are and know what you need to do.

Re: Computer without air condition...
My computer is in a hot room too, with a window facing the full summer sunshine. We don't have central air and so the window ACs in other parts of the house never quite make it back here enough. So I watch it with Sensors View, and although it never overheats it gets warmer than I feel comfortable about, especially when doing CPU intensive activities like converting video files. So I have the side of my case off and a small fan on the floor. Keeps my feet cool too. lol!

Re: Computer without air condition...
Well, glad I have cool air anyhow and don't live in a hot area of the world. Anyhow, can't tell you much without knowing what Sensorview's shows. Might want to post those.
