Re: DVD/cd-rw (combo) not reading dvd

Hi there,
Sounds to me like you need a DVD decoder. Is your computer fairly new?

When I got my computer I couldn't read DVDs so I got myself a Nvidia DVD decoder & also a Codec pack. This resolved the problem straight away. Have a look at the DVD decoders here : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...r/plugins.aspx

Also I'd recommend getting a codec pack, personally I've used K-lites Mega Codec Pack which you can get here for free : http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_mega_codec/

I hope this helps & resolves your issue. Im not to sure if you can pick up a free DVD decoder or not personally I paid for mine but it wasn't very dear.

Good luck.
