Hansol H750 LCD Monitor Black Screen

When I power up my Hansol H750 LCD monitor it comes on but the screen goes black after 1 second. The monitor is still getting power because the power button light is on. Some times when I shine a flashlight on the black screen I can make out details of the desktop of the Windows version I am running. Can this monitor be fixed or do I need to trash it and buy another one?

The backlight has failed on your monitor. How old is this LCD monitor?
