Mouse issues
Hey
I have a really frustrating problem.. basically my mouse will randomly cut out for periods of upto 10 seconds, and sometimes not come back on at all - requiring me to re plug it in. Its a USB mouse so i tryed every different usb port on my comp but same problem occures, i also tryed a USB to PS/2 connector but it still had the same problem. After this i thought, well its got to be the actual mouse then, and tryed several other mice on my computer - all getting the same problem. After re-installing mobo drivers, USB drivers, USB mouse drivers all to no avail, i decided to just format and see if that worked. It didnt. So now ive got a fresh install of XP and my mouse is still having the same problem - regardless of wether i use the USB or PS/2 port, and regardless of which mouse i use. I do notice that the cut-outs are more frequent when im doing something like running a full screen app such as a game - and if theres more stuff happening on screen it will out more frequently. I assume this is some kind of hardware issue to do with my mobo or power supply but i really dont know - so any help would be appreciated Thanks Slayer |

everyone Turn off your comps...blow into the ports of your mice Next if that dont work, if u have a USB to Serial converter...try that. If your Mouse is not a USB mouse, skip this option. *For those using USB mice, I need to know if your having problems with other USB items. I await everyones replies. Re: Mouse issues
i did try blowing into some of the USB ports on my comp and my mouse - but this problem happens regardless of what usb port i use or if i use a usb to ps/2 converter.
Ill test some other USB devices and see if they cut out / reconnect |
