Mistake PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!monitor sleep
Ok guys when i start up my computer i can see everything until after the loading screen when it should go to the login. After the loading screen my monitor goes into sleep and will not come out no matter what i do, But i can login safe mode and the monitor will not go into sleep. when it does go into sleep i can still type my password in and hear windows start. i have no idea what is wrong PLEASE SOMEONE HELP THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!

First, are you on XP SP2 or 3. Second, are you running your monitor on VGA Mode or DVI Mode. Third, do you have a third party Video Card installed?

only if i unhook this one lol i am from austin and i didnt bring anything but my tower and it hasnt been this bad normaly like 2-5 reboots and it works but nothing now

Go into your dispaly properties and set the reselutuion to the default 800x600 and reboot. See if the computer boots normally

that is what it is in safe mode and you cant change it when in safe mode

Leave the monitor plugged in...dont disconnect it. Go into Device manager and find your monitor and right click it and unistall it. DONT scan and reinstall it, just rebbot into windows normally, let e know if WIndows Detects the monitor. WE have to do this step by step so bear with me
