mouse problems help
hi im new to the site so im not sure im in the right place i have a problem with my mouse i've just installed windows xp the mouse was work at first but it stopped responding i had an error message saying hid.dll file missing manage to get pass that and now the mouse dont work tryed installing drivers but still nothing my mouse is a razor diamonback the light is on but cant move it plz help

hi thanx for helping me i've tryed diff mouse still same thing tryed drivers they wont work i keep getting different errors when trying to install windows xp one being hid.dll file being missing and another fsvga.sys im having device install errors could these be the cause and can they be fix im greatful for all the help you guys can give.

See if you can boot into safe mode.
If so and you have a mouse, go to the system control panel,hardware tab and click on the device manager button. Click on the + next to mice. Click on your mouse and then click on the red X at the top. It will ask you if you want to delete it. Say yes. If it does not make reboot, still do so. When you go back into Windows it should reinstall the mouse.
