monitor resolution problem

Just installed Win XP Pro... but cannot change the resolution or color settings beyond the minimums. I spent three weeks trying to get this comp working right and finally took it to a tech to wipe the HD and installed Win XP Pro clean but now I am stuck in the min mode. I pulled up the driver for the monitor. Now where do I install the driver... I did a search for "new hardware" and it went into eternal search mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: monitor resolution problem

Hi AlaskanWolf!

Welcome to TSF

Did you try to check for the graphic driver for your computer? Is there any graphic or motherboard installation cd with you? Try to check out whether there is a driver inside that.

Or you can also run the Everest and post the specifications of your computer here so that we can find the driver for you
