How create overburning CD
Hi, Everybody
I have a CD which basic capacity is 700 MB 80 minuts. But the size of data on the disk is 1.5 GB! My question is how do they write 1.5 GB data on the CD which basic capacity is 700 MB 80 minuts? Last edited by gani_2007 : 04-16-2008 at 10:24 PM. |

Re: How create overburning CD
You need to use a dvd disk. You wont be able to overburn that much
on a 700mb cd. If you have a cd/dvd burner that should not be a problem. edit: Maybe I misunderstood. Is that uncompressed data? or compressed. I have heard of regular cds that can hold more than 700mbs, and Ive overburned 700mb disks say to 730mbs, depending on what Im burning but never 1.5gbs, that would put you in the dvd genre,,,asfaik,,,,

Re: How create overburning CD
The Cd contains "windows 2003 server". It is uncompressed data. When I copy it on Hard Disk it takes 1.5 GB space that can not take on normal 700 MB CD. And when write it on 700 MB CD by CD to CD copy it has done.
How is it possible that a 700 MB CD contains 1.5 GB data? Last edited by gani_2007 : 04-17-2008 at 12:54 AM. |

Re: How create overburning CD
Has to be compressed, then it self extracts when accessed.
That would be my best guess. Its magic,,lol with the disk in the drive, at idle, right click it, and then select properties, how big is it then?
