thinking about getting a "Capture Card"...
but I have no idea which ones would be considered "good/bad", never really used anything like this before. Would mostly use it for recording gameplay from an xbox, wii, etc... Don't want to spend that much ($100 max) picture/sound quality doesn't have to be great (but not terrible obviously
), but I want it to be able to record video and sound. These are 2 items I found on Newegg, but I have no idea which to purchase or if they are even any good. Anybody have some experience with capture cards and want to make a suggestion? Any advice appreciated. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815100120 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815100033 |

Re: thinking about getting a "Capture Card"...
Sorry for the late reply. Sometimes posts get missed.
![]() I haven't tried either of the 2 in your links, but they look like they would both do the job. Obviously, the $10 one won't give very good results compared to a more expensive one. Hauppauge WinTV-PVR PCI Interface Tuner Card - $60 VisionTek TV Wonder HD 600 USB Stick - $86 Here's 2 more for you to consider. Hauppauge are one of the top brands for capture cards. I used one years ago and had no problems with it. I'm currently using a Pinnacle PCTV DVB-T Flash Stick, similar to the VisionTek USB Stick above. Check out the customer reviews on some other websites for whichever one you decide to go for. They will tell you if there are any known problems, such as poor reception, recording quality, hard to find drivers, etc.
