The beast just shut down one day, and won't turn back on.
first things first, here's what i'm running:
Windows XP Professional 3 ghz Pentium 4 2GB corsair xms gigabyte motherboard geforce 6800 256MB video card? (not completely sure if that's right) X-CONNECT 500W power supply ok, this happened a while back and i finally just quit on it, cuz i didn't have the money to replace anything anyways. one day i was surfing the net and the computer just shut down. i tried turning it back on, the lights in the PSU would flash for just a sec but nothing would even start to power up. just a flash of light is all i get. I unhooked everything but the motherboard to see if i could even get power, but nothing. i don't really wanna buy a new power supply or motherboard without knowing which it is i really need. any suggestions? |

Hi xozymandias!
Welcome to TSF ![]() Is the light on the motherboard turning on when you start the computer? Is the fan on the power supply running after the power up? If both the lights on motherboard not lighten up, and the fan on power supply not spinning, it might be the issue with the power supply
