Hey guys, I had a look to see if anyone has my problem on this section of the forum and no joy, so I was wondering would anyone be able to help me?
I have a HP DC7600 2.99GHZ Processor 512MB Ram 128MB Graphics Card (I think) its an Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family 200GB I've recently purchased a 42" Philips Flat Screen LCD, Xbox 360 is hooked up to it and its working quite well.. I've been looking online for the past 2 hours or so for a cable so my TV will serve as the computers monitor, the only problem is its VGA and I've had no luck finding the cable.. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what would actually work and somewhat hasstle free, ha. Should I just upgrade my graphics card and then get a DVI-2-HDMI cable or something like that? If anyone has any ideas please let me know.. Also wondering how switchers work exactly? Hopefully I can get this sorted out soon as I'm really looking forward to having my little setup :) Tech Newb. |

Re: VGA to HDMI
There is a way but might be a bit expensive
Atlona has just released 2 new models which are capable of converting VGA to HDMI and also scaling signal to the native resolution of the Tv. AT-HD500 and AT-HD510VGA both models are very simular; however the AT-HD510VGA has a VGA loop out, which allows you to use local monitor as well as HDTV http://www.lenexpo-electronics.com/A...r-p-17471.html http://www.lenexpo-electronics.com/A...r-p-17472.html |

Re: VGA to HDMI
Umm I'm not sure, I haven't tried to hook it up to a TV yet so.. My reso for my comp can only reach 1024x768 so..
I've got annoyed so I'm just gonna spend $70 or whatever and buy a DVI-supported card :P, its the logical choice I guess.. Thanks for your help though, its much appreciated :) |
