I have an Acer Aspire 5100 Lap top.
I have tried to install an Epson all in one printer / scanner / copier. Printer works fine. When I come to scan using Epson's software, the scanner is not recognised. The scanner worked on other computers. So, it must be the laptop software. If I go to the control panel, the Scanner is recognised and can scan using Microsoft's scanner wizard. Epson's tech team went through everything they could think of - including msconfig to disable all programs at start up, hardware monitoring, USB cable, .... Having exhausted Epson's technical team, I replaced the Epson with an HP to see if their software did any better. However, I get the same result. Can anyone help? Thanks Derek |
