Laptop keeps shutting down

Hi all

Recently, I have noticed that for some perculiar reason that my laptop keeps turning off randomly. The laptop is sat on a desk with the power cable attached to it all times. Could this be the problem? Or might it be something else?

Any help which you may be able to give me would be really appreciated.

Does it turn off or go into Standby or Hibernation? Check your power settings to confirm this...

What OS and make/model are you using?
