I got a canon multipass f20 a while ago and it hasn't been operating a long while after. As I purchased this item, it operated cooperatively. I was able to scan and print through the computer. As of now, I am not able to do that. I can only scan and print as the printer is by itself, not hooked up to my computer or anything just the plug in for power. I cannot print with it as I've said, it cannot be hooked up through my computer. As I stick in my USB cable that connects the printer/scanner to my computer, a small screen at the bottom right pops up and it says "new hardware found" and a installation window appears. It asks to do the recomended way OR use the CD that came with the printer. So, i used the CD, and it "installed or.. extracted files to my computer as supposed to". But after that, meaning I have the drivers required to use the printer, I go to any program and yes, I've tried many file>print>etcetc>ok and my printer was not listed. SO i clicked add printer manually but Canon Multipass F20 cannot be found. Also, the "Scanner and Camera Wizard" program that comes with your computer does not detect any plug and play etc etc where my printer is a plug and play.

So, I was wondering I'm starting to need my printer now, are there any solutions out there to this problem? I know it can scan and print on its own perfectly fine but it just isn't being detected by my comp.

I use to use to all the time, but as it started to not function with my computer, I stopped...(I know how to print and stuff)

I've also tried using a different printer, a HP deskjet one and it worked fine. But i need to use my multipass one
