Toshiba Satellite - burn CD problem

Greetings from Bermuda ,

Every time I need to burn a CD (typically photographs) I have to reboot the laptop.

The list of files is displayed as 'burn these files to CD' and when I try the software says that there is no CD recognised, and saves the list. I try to reinsert the CD but this does not help.

Once rebooted I can burn the files. This is very frustrating.

Any help/ guidance please?

Michael

Just for clarification are you using xp's built in burning or a third part app like Roxio?

I am not on the internet at home, but can connect at the office.

XP Professional.

Thumbs Up

Thak you Jeff,

I will find a way to do it. One of our lads should be able to help.

I presume that one does not need to install SP2 in order to load SP3 etc.

This is correct to a point...currently sp2 is the latest, but once sp3 is released it will more than likely include updates which sp2 offers...

The reason I say not to download sp2 yet is because of the myriad of issues people seem to be having with it.
