hp cd writer 9100 problems

I have a hp cd writer 9100, every time I try to burn a cd it burns three or four songs then tells me that an error has occured and cannot complete burning. It worked for the longest time the problem just started a month ago, and seems to be for no reason, have not made any changes to my comp..anybody with any thoughts?

Hi micheal5 Welcome to TSF
What errors are you getting?
It is possible your drive is dirty, if it has been used a lot it could be getting worn out.
Have you tried running a cleanind disk throughit yet?
