electrostatic discharge
Please will someone tell mewhich hardware components are most vulnerable to electrostatic discharge. Would I be right if monitor and processor and psu are very vulnerable? I am trying to get my head around this ESD!

Pretty much ALL components are susceptible to ESD damage, if you are not careful, vic. The CPU/motherboard are probably the most "damage-able".
Wear a strap, touch wood, anything to be sure your socks aren't gonna give your uit a little 'love sting'.

oh wow thankyou very much, have just been researching about it on the net and i now feel really dumb, have discovered esd affects components which are made from nonconductive materials.
And then I realised I made all those mistakes in my post!!
